Hedge Fund Hiring Signals (the platform) is operated by ELW Partners, a sole trader registered in the United Kingdom. A licence is an agreement between ELW Partners and the firm or individual holding the account (the licensee).
A licence is a monthly plan with a fixed number of candidate maps. A candidate map scores one candidate's CV against every live role on the platform in one city. Choosing more than one city for a candidate makes one map per city, and each counts against the allowance. Maps are for the licensee's own candidates. The map allowance resets each month on the day of the month the licence was paid for, and unused maps do not carry over. A licence can be cancelled at any time and runs to the end of the period already paid for.
Every licence is for one named user. A firm that needs more than one user buys one licence per person, and the person paying may name the users on its account, each inside the licensee's own firm and never outside it. A sign-in code is personal to the address it was sent to and must not be passed on.
CVs uploaded to the platform, and the maps made from them, are visible on the platform only to the account that uploaded them. They are never sold, never shared with any other licensee or any fund, and never used to contact the candidate. Each CV is read by an AI model to produce its map and is not used to train that model. The licensee confirms it has the candidate's permission to upload their CV. Under UK data protection law the licensee is the controller of that data and ELW Partners processes it only to produce the maps, as set out in the privacy notice. Every CV, the profile read from it and the map made from it are deleted thirty days after the run, or earlier from the desk at any time.
What a licensee uploads is used for one thing: producing that licensee's maps. CVs, maps and the names on them are never used to source, approach or place a candidate, and never used to identify a licensee's clients. They are seen by no other licensee, are not opened by the operator except to run the service or at the licensee's own request, and are deleted thirty days after the run.
A licensee may upload a CV with the candidate's name and contact details removed. The map is scored on experience, not identity, and is the same either way.
Roles on the platform are collected from the funds' own public postings and refreshed every day. They are provided as found: a posting can close, change or be filled before a map is read. The licensee may use maps to introduce its own candidates. The licensee may not copy roles in bulk, export or resell the data, or share maps outside its own firm. Doing so ends the licence with no refund. The one exception is the candidate link: a licensee may send a candidate the candidate's own map through the link the platform makes for it, which shows the roles without the postings or the hiring contacts and records which roles the candidate agrees to be put forward for. The platform relays those answers to the licensee as the candidate entered them; whether and how to introduce a candidate is the licensee's decision alone.
The platform keeps anonymised statistics drawn from maps: role family, seniority band, location, pay band and fit scores. No candidate, licensee or client can be identified from them. They may be used in other products and services.
Plans are billed monthly in advance in US dollars, on the day of the month the licence started. A price change takes effect at the first renewal after thirty days' notice.
The platform is provided as it is. ELW Partners is not liable for a hiring decision, a fee dispute with a fund, or a posting that has changed. Total liability under a licence is limited to the fees paid in the three months before the claim.
These terms may be updated. A change takes effect at the licensee's first renewal after thirty days' notice to the email address on the account. The version of the terms in force when a licence was bought is recorded against the account, and a licensee who does not accept a change may cancel before it takes effect.
ELW Partners may transfer a licence, together with every obligation under these terms, to a successor operator of the platform. A licensee may not transfer its licence.
